This collaboration with a STEM Organization gives us the chance to use what we know about children with special needs, especially children with autism, having patterns, a process, or a way to complete a project gives them a sense of accomplishment. Recognizing and understanding this strength can help them figure out a key question of what do you want to be when you grow up? That’s not a question that a lot of children with challenges are asked. So, having a foundation of stem learning at that age where you're still trying to figure yourself out is so important. So helping them to develop and growth mindset by using problem solving atmosphere will hopefully give them the skills to learn more about themselves and gain the confidence needed to be self-sufficient individuals.
